Dr. Kerry Kriger is one of the world's foremost authorities on Indian classical music, the bamboo flute and innovative methods of teaching music using 21st century technologies. Dr. Kriger has been studying, recording, performing and teaching the bansuri (bamboo flute) and the classical music of northern India since 1996. He took private lessons for nearly a decade with Pandit Vijay Raghav Rao, one of India's greatest flute masters. Dr. Kriger’s playing is defined by the mellow tone of his bamboo flute and his innovative improvisations, which are firmly rooted in the 4,000 year old classical Indian tradition. His website has inspired countless musicians to pursue the ancient music of northern India and given them the knowledge to succeed in their journey. Dr. Kriger also plays guitar, piano, drums, jaw harp, ukelele and a variety of other instruments.
