Ryan Shah began learning and performing music at an early age. His teachers include : Jeff Sipe, Ustad Sabir Khan and Dr. Pranab Kumar Das. He has performed in notable venues such as : the Georgia Dome, Knitting Factory, Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, Swabhumi, Salt Lake Stadium, Rabindra Sadan and Nazrul Manch. In 1999 and 2003 he was awarded grants from the South Carolina Arts Commission for the performance of original music. He also composes music under the name of TIME SPY exclusively available on Bandcamp. Since 2012 Ryan has performed classical raga music accompanying Pt. Siddhartha Shankar and since 2017 he has also performed with Brother Jim Hadley the One Man Band. Most recently Ryan received the honor of performing at the South Carolina Governor's Mansion this past October of 2023. Ryan teaches tabla and drum set in USA and India as well as online.
