IMD Foundation proudly presents and coordinates World Sangeeth Day - a unique global celebration dedicated to promoting, preserving, and showcasing Indian classical music and dance. Beginning in 2026, World Sangeeth Day will be observed annually on the first Saturday of December, with this year’s celebration taking place on December 5, 2026.
On this special day, students, teachers, and performing artists of Indian classical music and dance will come together to present vocal, instrumental, and dance performances across numerous participating venues in the United States and around the world.
World Sangeeth Day holds special significance for emerging artists and learners, providing them with a global platform to showcase their talents, gain valuable performance experience, share their passion for Indian classical music and dance, and help carry these rich cultural traditions forward for generations to come.
This is a FREE event, open to all who wish to perform, participate, volunteer, or simply join in celebrating and supporting the artists.
(Carnatic, Hindustani - Vocal & Instrumental, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Odissi, Mohiniyattam, Kathakali, Manipuri, Sattriya and all Indian classical dance forms.)
