The Thiruvaiyaru Thyagaraja Aradhana is a renowned annual Carnatic music festival held in the small town of Thiruvaiyaru (near Tanjore) in Tamil Nadu (India), in honor of the saint composer Sri Thyagaraja, who attained his Jeeva Samadhi there. The week-long festival happens on Pushya Bahula Panchami day, with a mass rendition of Thyagaraja's Pancharatna Kritis (five gem-like kritis) by hundreds of musicians. Sri Thyagaraja attained mukti in the year 1847.
